Growing up, I didn’t really know anything about cooking. My grandparents didn’t cook and my overworked parents barely had time to throw together a taco night. So who was supposed to teach me? It turned out that most young adults I knew had the same problem. Eating out is expensive and unhealthy…but easy. I wanted to find a better way. I turned to the obvious sources for learning: Martha, Emeril, Alton, Top Chef, Allrecipes.com, and dozens more. There’s a lot of great information out there, but there’s also a lot of stuff that isn’t worth your time. (Come on, who’s going to hand-press thanksgiving linens?)
So here’s the deal. I will try a LOT of recipes, techniques, and equipment. When I learn something worth doing (or not doing), I’ll let you know. The next time you try something new, share it with us. Together we can make Domestic Ninja a great source of culinary knowledge for normal people.
